2. Deuteranomaly and Deuteranopia

Individuals with deuteranomaly have a reduced sensitivity to green light, leading to difficulties in differentiating between certain shades of red and green. Deuteranopia is a more severe form where individuals cannot distinguish between red and green.

3. Tritanomaly and Tritanopia

Tritanomaly is a rare type of color blindness that affects the blue-yellow color perception. Individuals with tritanomaly have a reduced sensitivity to blue light, resulting in difficulty distinguishing between certain shades of blue and green, as well as between yellow and red. Tritanopia is an even rarer form where individuals cannot distinguish between blue and yellow.

4. Achromatopsia

Achromatopsia, also known as monochromacy, is a severe form of color blindness where individuals see the world in shades of gray. This condition is accompanied by severe visual impairment, sensitivity to light, and reduced visual acuity.

It’s important to note that color blindness can vary in severity and presentation, and some individuals may have a combination of color vision deficiencies. Color blindness is typically inherited, and it affects a higher percentage of males than females.
